Taking the big-hit Water fair to Stockholm

artikel
Anki Fagerström

The 2007 Water fair, held at the Swedish Exhibition Centre in Göteborg, beat all records in terms of number of exhibitors, number of visitors, number of seminars, etc. The water and waste water industry gave the fair a very good rating, and in line with the wishes of the organisations behind the event, the Swedish Exhibition Centre will arrange the next fair, Water 2009, in Stockholm.

“We are, of course, very proud that the industry has also chosen us to arrange next year’s event,” says Anki Fagerström, Exhibition Manager, Water 2009. “The entire exhibition team looks forward to developing the concept and arranging the fair in Stockholm.”

Good booking status

The success of the 2007 event has been further confirmed by the flood of early bookings for Water 2009. At the time of writing, almost half the stand space was taken, a fantastic result.

Open dialogue with the industry

Robert Kingfors, Varim (Swedish Association of Effluent & Water Treament Equipment Suppliers), attests to the fact that Water 2007 in Göteborg was a welcome and important meeting place for the industry. And an unquestionable success.

And that few people from the western and southern parts of the country visit it in Stockholm. So in our view, it’s a logistic necessity that this important forum continues to switch between the two cities.”

New rules for Water Championships will enable more to compete!

There will be a lot of business done at Water 2009. There will also be much to see and learn in the fields of technological developments, export potential, and climate change. There will also be competitions in practical problem solving in a narrow space and within a limited time. We are talking, of course, about the Water Championships 2009.

Hans Jansson, ITT, will now take over from Henrik Held in running the competitions. He says, “Nothing can be left to chance when we discuss the events and the rules. Although this is a fun thing, we take it very seriously.”
