Meetings@TUR on both trade-only days
TUR’s commitment to the fast-growing meetings industry has made Meetings@TUR one of the most important venues in the field.
“We’re now going full out and dedicating the entire H Hall to the meetings industry,” says TUR Marketing Manager Lise Backby Moberg.
By popular demand, TUR’s meetings industry focus will be doubled to cover both trade-only days, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March (instead of Friday only, as in previous years).
“We’ve received lots of positive feedback, and interest has just kept on growing, as has the number of participating partners. So we felt that 2009 would be just right for a full-scale drive.”
Meetings@TUR will bring together everything you want to know about the meetings industry - all in one spot, in an entirely new, creative setting for meetings.
“It will be an innovative and stimulating setting for meetings. And it will include lots of meetings-oriented technological innovations. It will also be easier and cheaper to take part. It won’t have to cost so much; a simple high table will suffice in many cases.”
Meetings@TUR will feature lots of seminars, awards, analyses and, of course, meetings. Highlights will include:
- Release of the 2008 Trend Report for the Swedish meetings industry.
- David Hornby, Commercial Director of Visit London, will speak on the importance of meetings and events in building a destination’s brand.
- The winner of The Meeting Planner of the Year Award will be announced.
- Elling Håmsö, European ROI Institute, will speak about the Facebook generation’s meetings.
- Final of Avisita Inspiring Meeting Concept Competition.
- Inspiring speaker Paul Bridle will talk about leadership. Paul was voted 12th of the Top 20 Most Influential Leadership Gurus of 2008.
Meetings@TUR will begin Wednesday 18 March with Association Meetings Day & Corporate Meetings Day. These international programmes will cater for both domestic and international congress and business meeting buyers.
