Meetings@TUR:
All you want to know about meetings - in one place
A potent new meetings venue will be launched at TUR 2009. “We’ll go full out and dedicate the entire H Hall for the meetings industry,” says Lise Backby Moberg, Marketing Manager, TUR 2009. The drive will comprise two full days in a completely new creative meetings environment.
•• TUR has invested heavily in the fast-growing meetings industry in recent years. In previous years, a special day was reserved for seminars, guest speakers, awards, etc.
“We’ve received lots of positive feedback, and interest has just kept on growing, as has the number of participating partners. So we felt that 2009 would be just right for a full-scale drive,” says Lise Backby Moberg.
•• TUR 2009, 19-22 March, at the Swedish Exhibition Centre, in Göteborg, will see the introduction of a section entitled Meetings@TUR. The special in-fair event will take place 19-20 March, and everyone and everything to do with the meetings industry will be brought together in a single hall. In addition, it will also feature a series of lectures and on-stage activities, a high-class lounge, relaxing massage, etc.
“This will be a creative and stimulating meetings environment. And it will include lots of meetings-oriented technological innovations,” explains Lise Backby Moberg.
“We will also make it easier and cheaper to take part. It doesn’t have to cost so much; a simple high table will suffice in many cases.”
•• Meetings@TUR will begin Wednesday 18 March with the international programme - Association Meetings Day & Corporate Meetings Day - with an audience of specially invited congress and business meeting buyers, both national and international.
