Different, but in a nice way!

Visit Denmark knows how to attract visitors to the stand

Behaving pleasantly, dressing neatly, and being responsive to one’s surroundings is still the surest way to connect with visitors. But with almost 20 years’ experience of fairs, Andréas Näsman, CEO of Visit Denmark, has learned a few tricks to get that little bit of extra mileage out of a fair.

Meetings@TUR on both trade-only days

TUR’s commitment to the fast-growing meetings industry has made Meetings@TUR one of the most important venues in the field.

“We’re now going full out and dedicating the entire H Hall to the meetings industry,” says TUR Marketing Manager Lise Backby Moberg.

Environmentally aware exhibitors choose green stands

A special green emblem will show TUR visitors which exhibitors have joined the TUR climate compensation scheme. This will be highlighted at their individual stands and in the official TUR catalogue. The scheme is simple but effective. TUR exhibitors who wish to join in pay an extra SEK 5 per square metre stand rental as climate compensation. The total sum donated by the exhibitors will be matched, krona for krona, by TUR. The money will then be sent to The CarbonNeutral Company in England, who will invest it in various environmental projects.

Exhibitors, be on your guard! Make sure that you do not have anything to do with Construct Data Verlag / Fairguide or ExpoGuide. These companies are rogue traders who prey on unsuspecting exhibitors. Keep clear of them. Do not sign any forms they send you.

The struggle for the visitor’s time!

In a little more than two months time TUR 2009 will open its doors. The targets have been set and the invitations are on their way. And it’s all systems go when it comes to pre-booking stand meetings with your most important customers.

Now is the time to focus on the stand staff; the people who will be manning your stand and will have to prove that what you say in your marketing is consistent with reality. And although you may have planned your trade fair perfectly, the results will not be satisfactory if your stand conduct is poor. Because inappropriate behaviour can quickly put a stop to a purchasing process that has just been initiated.
