International Rights Centre
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday
The International Rights Centre is an important part of the Göteborg Book Fair. Come here to meet rights professionals from the Nordic countries and around the world, sell and buy the rights to literary works, explore the Nordic market, conduct business and close deals.
Nordic literature always in focus
The Nordic literature is always a major theme at the Göteborg Book Fair and this is the right place to find new authors and meet publishers from the Nordic countries, as well as to get to know the Nordic book market.
The IRC is open only for people engaged in this line of business. Personnel will be available to assist you and your guests. Contact the organisers to reserve a table for your meetings or hire a display area for books you would like to feature.
Prices:
• Table: SEK 1 700 (approx. 175 €)
• First shelf (1 meter): SEK 1 500 (approx. 150 €)
• Extra shelves (1 meter) - maximum 4 shelves:

Some comments about the IRC:
Eirin Hagen, Hagen Agency, Norway:
"A well-functioning arena for selling rights.
The International Rights Centre has become more and more important and a well-functioning arena for selling rights. I think that the participation of publishers from other countries will increase when they realize that they can ”do the Nordic countries” during some book fair days in Göteborg - pleasant and efficient."
Gudrun Hebel, Agentur Literatur, Germany;
"A very good atmosphere.
The International Rights Centre is not very big which contributes to such a good atmosphere and contact between writers and publishers, and publishers and agents. Arranging meetings in Göteborg makes the schedule in Frankfurt less busy, which is important. I am looking forward to next year's Fair!"
