Increasing focus on water and wastewater issues!
Technology, infrastructure and organisations for providing good quality water have played a vital part in the building of modern societies. By the same token, matters concerning water and wastewater have also come under the spotlight. The EU water directive, climate changes, neglected maintenance, and greater export potential are just some of the aspects that have made water/wastewater know-how more valuable.
The Water fair concept was created in 1998 by the Swedish Association for Water (Föreningen Vatten), Swedish Water and Wastewater Association (Svenskt Vatten) and the Swedish Association of Suppliers of Effluent and Water Treatment Equipment (VARIM). The upcoming event, Water 2009, will be the sixth event of its kind.
